Actress Keke Palmer and her boyfriend Darius Jackson welcomed their first child together, a baby boy named Leodis ‘Leo’ Andrellton Jackson, on February 25. Two days later, on February 27, Keke announced the news by sharing a series of photos and videos taken inside the hospital after giving birth.
The couple’s newborn arrival comes almost three months after Keke revealed her pregnancy during her hosting gig on Saturday Night Live on December 3. During her opening monologue, Keke showed off her bare baby bump and confirmed the pregnancy rumors, much to the delight of the audience.
Keke admitted that it was difficult to keep her pregnancy under wraps, especially since she has a lot going on in her career. However, she expressed her excitement about becoming a mom and described it as a “blessing.”
Keke and Darius began dating in 2021 and have been relatively private about their relationship. In an interview on the Tamron Hall Show, Keke opened up about Darius and how he is her closest friend, saying that she didn’t want to hide something that made her happy.
Although some critics have questioned Keke’s age (29) and whether she is too young to have a baby, she addressed these concerns during her SNL monologue with humor, pointing out that she is a grown adult who owns a home and participates in other adult activities. Keke and Darius’ new roles as parents are sure to bring them happiness and excitement as they start this new chapter of their lives together.
