Fans of K-pop group Blackpink are expressing concern after Jennie revealed that she recently suffered an injury. The group has been taking a break from group activities and focusing on their individual schedules.
Jennie and Lisa were confirmed to be in Malaysia for a media event at the Seoul Gimpo Business Aviation Center. However, before leaving, Jennie took to Weverse to update fans on her condition.
In her post, she wrote: “Blink. I’m just letting you guys know first so you guys aren’t shocked. While resting, I was taking care of my health and eating well, and sleeping well, but while exercising, I tripped over my foot and I fell, which resulted in a slight scar on my face. I want to get better so that BLINKs aren’t worried quickly, but it is still healing, so I’ll have to wear a band-aid on my face for a while. Please understand despite me looking [emoji]. I know I should show everyone a great show, so I apologize that I’ll be looking like this. I’ll get better soon so, please don’t worry and I’ll see you soon.”
The news of Jennie’s injury has left fans worried about her well-being and the status of the group’s activities. Blackpink has been on a break since their online concert, “The Show,” in January, and there is no word yet on when they will resume group promotions.
Fans are sending their well-wishes to Jennie for a speedy recovery and hoping for a safe return to group activities in the near future.
